Description

0.64mm KA1 Fecral Wire

KA1 electrical wire (FeCrAl A1) has high resistivity, good corrosion and oxidisation resistance as well as the ability to withstand very high temperatures of up to 1400°C. This metal alloy is great for producing as heating wire therefore it can be used in household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, kitchen cookers, hair dryers, irons and kettles etc.

This heating wire is made up of iron and chromium with a bit of aluminium added and we take great pride in the super high quality of this wire so that it has a long service life. KA1 wire comes in several different grades and has the highest resistivity over any other alloy wire therefore has consistent and long performance, it can also be bent and shaped into the desired form.

Technical Specification:

FAQS About This Wire

What Is KA1 Wire Used For?

KA1 wire is a type of iron-chromium-aluminium alloy wire that is commonly used in the construction of heating elements in devices such as electric heaters, furnace, and vaporizers. The alloy has a high resistance to oxidation and can withstand temperatures up to 1400°C (2550°F). It is also used in electronic cigarettes as a heating coil.

Can It Rust?

KA1 alloy is made of iron, chromium, and aluminium, and it is resistant to oxidation and corrosion. It is considered to be a “rust-free” alloy, meaning that it does not rust under normal conditions. However, if the alloy is exposed to prolonged exposure to high humidity or other corrosive environments, it may develop surface rust. So it is not completely rust free, but it is highly resistant to rust and corrosion.

Can It Be Used As A Resistance Wire?

Yes, KA1 wire can be used as a resistance wire. It is commonly used in the construction of heating elements in devices such as electric heaters, furnace, and vaporizers. Because of its high resistance to oxidation and ability to withstand high temperatures, it is well-suited for use in applications where the wire is expected to experience significant heat and maintain its structural integrity. The high resistance of KA1 wire makes it useful for many electrical applications.
