How Does KA1 Flat Coil Improve E-Liquid Absorption?

With KA1 Flat Coils, e-liquid will be absorbed much better than with traditional round wire coils because of the increased surface area. Due to the ribbon-like shape, the coil can make contact with more e-liquid, which enhances the saturation of the wicking material, which is wrapped throughout the coil. How Do You Install A KA1 Flat Coil?

7. Trim Excess Leads: Use wire cutters to trim the excess lengths from the coil leads as close to the post as possible to prevent shorts.
8. Check Resistance: Use an ohmmeter or the resistance checking function on your device to ensure the coil is at the expected resistance of 0.3 ohms.
9. Heat and Adjust: Gently pulse the power to the coil to heat it up. If there are hot spots or uneven heating, adjust the coil by strumming it with a tool or squeezing it with ceramic tweezers until it heats evenly from the inside out.
10. Wick Coil: Thread an appropriate amount of cotton or your chosen wicking material through the coil. Ensure the cotton is snug but not too tight.
11. Prime Coil: Saturate the wick with e-liquid and ensure that the coil has full coverage of prime.
12. Reassemble Device: Put your device back together, refill the tank if you’re using an RTA, and you’re ready to go.
