Fast forward to 2023, and we are thrilled to announce our grand comeback! Not just a return, but a resurgence – equipped with a brand-new website, a renewed passion, and the promise of unparalleled service.
From Humble Beginnings to a Major Force
For those of you unfamiliar with our story, The Crazy Wire Company, once a bustling hub, became one of the UK’s most sought-after suppliers of metals. Ni80, FeCrAl A1, stainless steel – you name it, and we had it!
What set us apart was not just the quality of our products but our dedication to catering to each customer’s unique needs. We took pride in creating wire spools in-house from larger reels. This meant rapid service, tailored orders, and a commitment to perfection.
Even better, when we surveyed our customer base we found that our prices were the lowest anywhere. This is something that we are always to offer as we have wires in huge bulk for our wire weaving operation. Most of our known competition will have wire spools products in Asia and shipped to the UK, Europe or wherever for sell to the end user. For us, Julie, Beckie, Naomi or Pip will make the spool to order at our Warrington facility.
The Unforeseen Halt
2020 was poised to be yet another successful year for us. Orders were pouring in, our team was buzzing with energy, and customer base was expanding to ever further afield.
But as the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe, businesses, including ours, faced the brunt of its impact. Ensuring the safety of our production team was paramount. Given the nature of our operations, social distancing wasn’t just a guideline; it was a necessity.
The decision was heart-wrenching but clear: we had to pause production in this area to focus on our mesh and metals businesses which are less labour intensive.
While our wire spools are our ‘bread and butter’, the health and well-being of our team, the very heart of The Crazy Wire Company, mattered more. We shifted our focus, bided our time, and meticulously planned our return.
The Rebirth In 2023
Every cloud has a silver lining. The hiatus gave us time – time to reflect, to innovate, and to come back stronger. And come back we did!
2023 has seen the rebirth of The Crazy Wire Company. With safety protocols in place, a reinvigorated team, and a zest to get back to what we do best, we’re back in the game.
The most exciting part of our resurgence is our brand-new user-friendly website. We’ve combined modern aesthetics with functionality, ensuring that our customers have a seamless experience right from browsing to ordering.
The launch of the site is only the beginning. Our team is now going through each page to improve the content and user experience so that the site works perfectly for every customer.
